BIOGRAPHY
VOLK is Nashville die-hard rock duo and tour rats, Eleot Reich (drums, vocals) and Christopher Lowe (guitar, vocals). Since meeting in Berlin in 2013 at a brothel-turned-bar called Madame Claude’s, VOLK’s work ethic can’t be questioned. They are known for making the music they want with little regard for genre, historically landing in cowpunk territory with heavy guitars, hammering drums, and a flair for country-western. Clocking miles like it’s going out of style and recording regularly has paid off as they’ve shared bills with Electric Six, Drivin N Cryin, Supersuckers, The Dead South, Charley Crockett, and Diarrhea Planet.

PRESS
“Nashville-based Volk, a 2-person behemoth that spits more sonic dragon fire than most 5-8 member arena acts, continues their prolific roll with ‘Pop Song’…”
– Popdose
“Their voltage-folk recipe is intended to displace your expectations, get you to look twice, and hold that curiosity until the very end. And I guarantee you’ll want to look twice.”
– The Mojo of Music
“If you ever need a party band you could do worse than choosing – as Lowe called it – “The world’s greatest hype band – VOLK.”
– Asheville Stages
“The cowpunk outfit out of Nashville told us they were here to usher us into the “sexy dude ranch from outer space” before the “sexy luau” stylings of the Surfrajettes and indeed they did.”
– Houston Chronicle
“Nashville duo VOLK could get the gig of house band for a honky-tonk in hell with its gnarly blues riffs, deep grooves, ripping distortion and Patsy-Cline-On-Steroids brand of Country-Western meets Glam-Rock.”
– The Charlotte Observer
